The Mongoose Status 26-inch dual-suspension mountain bike is equipped with everything you need for trail riding. About Mongoose
In 1974, BMX Products, Inc., later to be known as Mongoose Bicycles, launched from a humble garage. The first of its kind, the BMX bicycle was named after bicycle motocross and was designed to fit the needs of the rough-and-tumble dirt-racing pastime that took its toll on wheels and bicycles. Previously known for the 20-inch bicycle, this title signaled the re-direction of Mongoose bicycles to larger-wheeled, adult-sized models. Several years later, Mongoose continues to dominate the cruiser racing circuit with six National No. 1 Cruiser titles, leading to the introduction of adult-sized Mongoose all-terrain bicycles (ATBs).

In 1992, Mongoose pioneered the full-suspension market with the introduction of the Amplifier. This design is still the most-copied suspension design in the market. Several year later, Mongoose launched the Newman adult bicycle frame, which is proven to be 15% stronger than any other bike frame in the market. The design, while functionally sound, also raised eyebrows because of its distinctive look.

In the next few years, Mongoose increased its marketing focus to dominate the bicycle industry, and more important, extend beyond it. The Mongoose brand marketing initiative makes more than 100 million impressions. Mongoose’s brand awareness increased by over 130% in 1999 and solidifies the No. 2 market share position in units and dollars. Mongoose was acquired by Pacific Cycle, LLC, and continues to grow and prosper with more than 40 models of BMX, mountain, trail, freestyle, jumping, comfort, road, and cyclocross bikes.

Well, after a long time of researching various bikes, I bought this one. I couldn’t find another bike that looked as good, or had as many of the same features as this bike, at the same price point. The bike came mainly assembled, took about an hour to assemble fully and adjust everything to my liking. Took it for a ride and everything works perfectly.

The bike looks like I spent a helluva lot more than I did too. Only thing is the seat is a bit uncomfortable, I’ll be replacing it soon, but you can say that about most bikes.

For [...] you can’t beat this bike! Granted, it’s not near as light as the bike shop mountain bikes, but it’s also a fifth of the price. I couldn’t find another bike for under [...] that had dual suspension AND dual disc-brakes. Now, the partial assembly could have been better, though. Out of the box, the front fork was on backwards, and the derailleurs were totally out of tune! But the front fork was as easy as loosening the nut and turning it around, and the local bike shop tuned the derailleurs for [...] so I now have an awesome bike for right at [...] Overall a great purchase!

What can I say, it’s a Styrofoam hat with plastic taped to it just like any other cycle helmet. Well Ok I do have this to say.
It’s easy to put on a child, the straps adjust well so it will grow with your childs head and the strap design means it will not just pop off if they do chance to come of their bike, trike, rollerskates etc. My daughter can’t pull it off once it’s strapped on so as these things go it’s a winner. Yes I would by another Bell product.

We have four children under age six. We love to go on family bike rides and all wear helmets. This little helmet was a wonderful addition to our safety equipment collection when our 2 1/2 year old boy refused to wear a helmet for bike riding/carrier riding. Mind you, he had never known anything else until seeing some of our neighborhood older kids riding without helmets. Our rule is “no helmet, no bike”. Our little lion loved this helmet and wore it without complaint. He told the other kids that it was sure too bad that they didn’t have a lion helmet like his.

The helmet meets all safety requirements and is certified as such. There is also a handy sticker included for writing your name and address inside the helmet. The bonus for this helmet is its charming lion with a “real” mane. There is fake fur for the lion’s mane on both sides of the helmet. Adorable!

BMX bikes give good performance in racing either on road ramp or on dirt ramps. These bikes have 18 to 24 inches of wheels. The body of the bikes is made up with light material to improve the results of the bikes. There are number of bikes available in the market however, most famous bikes are mountain bikes, road bikes and BMX bikes. Yet, before going to purchase these bikes, one has to take some reviews to select the best bike.

Some of the BMX bikes are ideal for beginners either for tracks or for dirt jumping. The most featured part of the bicycle is it body. The body is made up with chromoly frame with 8mm dropouts and heavy-duty blade forks. The bike is provided with unbreakable voiders that give maximum strength. Another featured body part is the padded dirt jumping saddles. They are well cushioned for heavy landings. Free style components are strong. However single wall rims does not gives satisfactory results. Bike allows practicing the tricks in 360-degree handle bar rotation. Some of the bikes are made up of 26-inch dual suspensions. Oversized tubing frame makes the bike sturdy and good for off road race. The bike has front fork suspension, adds heavy-duty shock absorbance to back wheels, and gives 21 speeds driven train. For long miles riving some times these bikes are uncomfortable. However, except this the bike is good for average riders.

Some of the bikes are good for flatland free style, dirt jumping and vert or vertical ramps. This bike is sturdy for vertical ramp. Though this bike is best suitable for all types of ramps, bike is comparatively reasonable. The frame of the bike is made up from chromoly that includes three pieces tubular chromoly cranks. The rims of the bicycle have about 48 spokes for big landings and big air front and rear brakes provided with the bikes.

Some of the bikes provide full suspension for better performance. Along with the performance, the bike provided with 4-bar links, and 18 suspension frames that match with rock shock forks. This assembly is easy for handling on rough ramps. For sudden and safe stopping power bike has front and rear v breaks, 24 speed SRAM shifting system is given for gear changing. These bikes are equipped with WTB speed V saddle and 26-inch wheels.

Some of the road bikes are particularly made for men. These bikes are made up of lightweight aluminum frame with smooth tread performance tires. For comfortable ride, the bike has high profile alloy vitesse racing rims. For smooth pedaling, the bike is provided with 21 gear shifting system and for sure and safe stopping power, alloy brakes are given.
